Dreams Come True? Kind of?

Dreams Come True? Kind of?

I know, it doesn't look like much. Just a guy in his mid-thirties looking like a member of the Nintendo Street Team trying to sell a Kirby video game.

But it's more than just that. Aside from those pouches, I have tried the first ever “frozen cc lemon”

And it was not easy, for a quick version, check out the video below

I have saved up so much Dave and Busters tickets, so many wasted birthdays and missed opportunities (and a pandemic) just to earn this very ICEE MACHINE (and then you get asses doing their own, and yes I am somewhat pissed)

But that means I got to bring back a YouTube series from a decade ago - WILL IT SLUSH?

It was something I've wanted to try for DECADES to do, and now I have the technology (somewhat) to see what can become a slush or not. And there are a few videos out. But this is a very limited run because of, as you know, CURRENT SURROUNDINGS, and yes I'm still sad.

Recently, to cheer my mom up, I went to Northridge and visited Porto's (and yes, it's YUM!) but while grabbing treats for her, across the street is the Japanese Supermarket Chain Mitsuwa Marketplace and that means I finally get to check it out.

As somebody that loves snacks and drinks, and just goes to a convenience store. I'm fascinated by the culture of them, and of course Japan has great ones. However, when I was VERY LITTLE, like when Kazaa was all the rage, I saw some Japanese commercials from The Simpsons for an elusive drink called CC LEMON (that would years later make it's way in better quality on DVD) and that's when I was a little obsessive of the drink - what is it? Where is it? What does it taste like?

The best way to describe it - the sweet part of a Lemonhead candy, as a moderately flat soda. But I wouldn't know about that until my friends would gift me one visiting from out of state. It was a dream, BUT I WANT MORE.

and while CC LEMON was finally tried… the dream was not fulfilled.

I have a slush series, I have CC LEMON, but can it be slushed? Has it been slushed? Frozen CC LEMON is a drink available in a pouch, but much like those icee packets, it's close but NOT a slush.

And I think I did it.

It took years of ticket redemption machines, and nearly 30 years obsessing on this weird beverage, much like Pepsiman and Mister Donut, it's just that back of the head thought.

I finally did it, and I got it on tape, and I can't be any more happy.

This is literally one of those “dream come true” moments that seems very stupid, that nobody would believe you if you said out loud.

But it finally happened, I think in a global first - I've had a Frozen CC LEMON and it's really really really yum!

However, now that it took 30 years of my life away, I don't know if I have it in me to follow some of my other dreams.

And while it is a bucket list a plenty, here is some of them…

  • Get a hamburger named after me in a chain restaurant.

  • Host a Game Show

  • Create an Emmy Winning Game Show

  • Voice a video game character

  • Voice role as a background/secondary character in an anime.

  • Go to a vending machine in major countries for a snack and a drink.

  • Pepsiman Sequel

  • Kirby Live Acton anything (write, direct, star, anything)

  • Start up a futuristic mini golf course or “challenge video arena”

  • Go to Disneyland for my birthday, just once (addendum - and DCA as a park hopper if possible)

  • Lecture about game shows (this was before I did a podcast, but you know)

  • Write a book, most likely a comedy book.

  • Perform the Universal Studios Studio Tour (check, somewhat)

  • Bring back the Warner Brothers Studio Tour

  • Finally get credit for “jump scare” being a term

  • Eat a whole pizza by myself (also check)

  • Cameo in a comic book, like a pedestrian on the street.

  • Try and sleep in a bed (like lying down flat with pillow and blankets) while a car is moving, as dangerous as it might be.

  • Escape Room, but just me

  • A professional wrestling match (even though I would rather be backstage)

  • a YouTube playbutton, but with my name misspelled.

  • Something involving gex, like a reboot, or design or something.

  • To die in an ironic, on brand way, like choking on a hamburger, or a game show prop crushing me.

Hopefully some of those things could happen, but most likely will never happen. But I hope you could join me on the next adventure
